Sofia Gonzales Romualdez, daughter of former actress and now Mayor of Tacloban City Cristina  Romualdez and Alfred Romualdez, launches her new single “Thinkin’ of U.”

The 18-year-old Viva Records recording artist wrote the song herself which is described as “a foreign-sounding pop-R&B piece.” Sofia debuted with her single “Pikit Mata,” included in the movie “FanGirl FanBoy” starring Julian Trono and Ella Cruz.

Her whole family has always been behind her in her musical career, where she started at a young age.

“We support her, her music, genre. During my time, singing was my first love and acting was my second. Her dad also sings so she really got talent,” says Cristina.

Sofia’s father observed that his daughter is really disciplined and even a “perfectionist” in her singing career.

Sofia thanks her family for their support and says her younger sister Diana is into music, too.

“Watch out for her! As for myself, I know I have a long way to go but I promise I will not change. I may look young but I know my responsibilities. At home I wash the dishes and we treat our workers in the house as family,” says the simple lady who aims to be a unique artist in the market.

Watch out for more of Sofia as she shines in the music industry.
