IT’S less than two months before Christmas, and Gary Valenciano gave his Kapamilyas in North America an early Christmas treat on his third North American trip this year.

Gary flew to the US in the second quarter of the year for a series of sold-out and jam-packed shows with his special guests –daughter and “it-girl” Kiana, online sensation Katrina Velarde, and Sam Concepcion. He performed in Nevada, Pasadena and Temecula in California and Utah.

In July he joined the ASAP team as they conquered Toronto, Canada in a sold out show at the Ricoh Coliseum. Mr. Pure Energy came back with Katrina Velarde to perform at the Glad Tidings Church in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Sept. 22; in the TFC Unity Cup Awards Gala in South San Francisco Conference Center on Sept. 30; and in the sold-out shows at Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks, California on Oct. 6 and 7.

Fans came in droves and there is no doubt that Gary V continues to be one of the best concert performers in the Philippines today. The stellar dance group Kinjaz joined him at the Pasadena Auditorium and brought the house down and was met with standing ovation. Musical director Mon Faustino joined the Philippine entourage.

In San Francisco, the gala was made more special with the presence of the Lopez brothers, Gabby, Raffy and Mon who were dancing during the concert as well as his music director during his La Salle Kundirana days, Mike Chio.

In the third leg, the highlight of the tour was the presence of his two nephews Christian Valenciano Faustmann who played the bass and Vinny Valenciano who was the lead guitarist, both sons of his siblings, Diana and Robby.  Gary’s mother Grimilda Ortiz flew to the West Coast from Florida to witness her son’s performance again after almost five years. She came to the concert with older son Robby and youngest daughter, Gabin Rader.

In the last 34 years, Gary has been a shining beacon of hope as he has released some of the most inspiring songs and videos and has been the National Ambassador of UNICEF for 19 years now. He has produced some of the best concerts like Love in Motion and Gary V Presents this year and an impressive array of multi-platinum albums that gave the world hits that have become the soundtrack of an entire generation of music aficionados making him one of the most powerful and influential performers in the history of the Philippine entertainment industry. Gary has also consistently filled major venues not only in the Philippines but the world over as well. With an impressive social media presence with 3.6 million followers on Twitter, 667,000 on Facebook, and 286,000 on Instagram he is slowly penetrating the millennial generation through the content he continues to create. Gary never fails to receive well-deserved standing ovations for his concerts as he constantly stuns his fans with his amazing dancing skills and vocal gymnastics which have proven that he indeed is a living miracle despite 39 years of having Type 1 diabetes.

On Philippine TV, Gary is seen regularly on ABS-CBN as one of the flagship artists of its longest running Sunday musical variety show ASAP. He was also recently welcomed by the top-rating daily noontime show It’s Showtime as one of the punong hurados (head judges) of its most popular segment “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.”

Earlier this year, he also concluded his stint as one of the jurors of the top-rating international franchise Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids.
