Melissa McCarthy is calling for society to “stop tearing down women,” following Jennifer Aniston’s scathing editorial on the matter.
Aniston addressed ongoing pregnancy rumors by penning an op-ed for the Huffington on Tuesday, in which she made a plea for people to stop scrutinizing females for the way they look.
Speaking to ET at Gildafest’16 in New York City on Tuesday, McCarthy said she agrees, “one hundred thousand billion percent,” with Aniston.
“Everybody needs to stop tearing down women,” said the Ghostbusters star. “It's always about the way we look -- saying, ‘He's very interesting,’ ‘He’s a good writer,’ ‘She's looking older than she was last time we saw her.’
“It's a ridiculous thing. I just hope it gets to the point where it's embarrassing for people to have such a shallow thought.”

McCarthy admitted that as an actress, it can be difficult not to self-scrutinize, especially when watching herself on screen. However, the 45-year-old Bridesmaids star added that she has learned not to focus on her insecurities.
“We all are usually more self-critical towards ourselves. You see every little flaw and think, ‘Oh! I could have done this, I could have done that.’ But in the end, when I'm watching, I try not to focus on myself because I don't want to self-examine.”
There’s no examination needed to see that McCarthy’s looking fabulous recently.
The mom of two rocked another one of her own Seven7 designs at the Gildafest’16 event, where she was presented with the Gilda Radner Award for Innovation in Comedy.
When it comes to picking out her outfits, McCarthy says she opts for clothes that “invoke the mood” and will make her feel good and comfortable. Her two young daughters, Vivian and Georgette, also have a significant say in their mom’s red carpet looks.
“My oldest daughter made three different prints for me. They're very, very much involved and they have never been short of opinions for me!”

Khloe Kardashian Says 'Just Pray' After Lamar Odom Reportedly Removed From Plane Drunk, Vomiting
Khloe Kardashian is clearly feeling heartbroken over a report that her ex, Lamar Odom, is still struggling with alcohol issues.
The 32-year-old reality star tweeted a sad face emoji on Tuesday, and responded to fans that alluded to a report that Odom allegedly had to be removed from a plane on Monday night. According to TMZ, Odom, 36, was taken off a Delta flight bound for New York City because he was drunk and repeatedly vomiting.
A source close to Kardashian tells ET that she and Odom are no longer speaking consistently.
"Khloe is very concerned but doesn't know what else she can do at this point," the source says. "She's tried everything she can to help him. The man was on his deathbed and she helped him get a second chance at life. If that didn’t wake him up, what will?"
On Tuesday, Kardashian responded to fans' messages of support.
"Can't save every soul," one Twitter user, to which Kardashian replied, "but we like to try."
She also thanked fans for their kind words.
"You gave him your hand, he didn’t take it. Stay strong, you are our role model," one user wrote, to which she replied, "Thank you sweetheart. I love you."
"You can only do so much Khlo, just pray," another fan commented, to which Kardashian responded, "amen."
"Just pray," she later tweeted in response to a comment reading, "It's out of your hands Khlo."
But it wasn't all positive. Kardashian got feisty with one user who criticized her for her reported fling with singer Trey Songz earlier this month.
"Instead of running the streets with Mr.!steal your girl you need to be helping your HUSBAND," the user wrote, to which Kardashian fired back, "Stay in your f**king lane little girl. You know nothing about anything. You're a sheep herded by society."
Los Angeles International Airport police did not respond to the reported incident involving Odom, and have no information. ET also reached out to Delta Air Lines, who declined to comment, citing customer privacy.
Kardashian filed for divorce from Odom for the second time on May 26, after initially calling off their divorce in order to make medical decisions for the former NBA star. Odom officially responded last Friday, citing irreconcilable differences in his own filing. Odom is not requesting spousal support, but did request that a judge terminate Kardashian's right to ask for alimony.
Kardashian supported Odom through his recovery after he was found unresponsive in a room at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada, last October due to a drug overdose, though their relationship has hit rough patches since then. In March, a source close to Kardashian told ET that she was "shocked" when Odom was spotted at a bar in Sherman Oaks, California, reportedly ordering alcohol.
"He almost died -- if that's not enough to keep him sober, then what is?" the source told ET at the time. "If Lamar makes this a habit, Khloe will walk away for good this time. Khloe is shocked that he was caught drinking again."
Another source at the time also told ET that Odom "should not be consuming any alcohol right now, and was told that by his medical team."
But on Mother's Day, Odom was again photographed sipping liquor at the Beverly Center mall in Los Angeles. "Hummmmmm... People disappoint," Kardashian tweeted shortly after the pictures were published.
On last Sunday's episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, the estranged couple appeared on good terms, and discussed Rob Kardashian's engagement to Blac Chyna. Lamar warned, "Marriage ain't easy, honey child."
"I been there before," he added.
‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Chelsea Houska Announces Her Second Pregnancy, Updates Fans on Her Wedding
Aubree’s going to be a big sister! Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska took to social media late Tuesday night to share some exciting news with her fans. The MTV star and her fiancé, Cole Deboer, are expecting their first child together.
“And then there were four,” Houska captioned a photo of her 6-year-old daughter, Aubree, holding up a sonogram, while she and her future hubby held hands in the background.
The reality star told fans that she is due on Valentine’s Day of 2017.
“Aubree hopes for a girl! Lol! Cole and I are fine with either,” she told one Twitter follower during a fan Q&A.
The couple will also continue with their wedding plans as scheduled, and Houska noted that she’ll “just have to let [her dress] out a bit in the belly area.”
Though the pair had originally hoped to expand their family after their big day, Houska insists that her second pregnancy was not unplanned.
“Not unplanned! But happened faster than we expected,” she told one fan. “Super happy! We are very lucky!”
After her tumultuous past with Aubree’s father, her ex Adam Lind, Houska is relieved to have a real partner by her side this time. When one fan asked her what she’s most excited for this time around, she replied, “To be able to experience this with an amazing supportive man,” later adding, “Cole is the proudest man. He wears his ‘best dad ever’ shirt I got him allll the time.”

Of course, Cole isn’t the only excited man in Houska’s life. Her dad, Randy Houska also got in on the pregnancy announcement fun. The dentist took to Twitter, posting a pic of him with a funny Snapchat filter.
“I was so happy when @ChelseaHouska and Cole told us that I thought my head would explode!!!” he teased with a picture of his puffy face.
Chelsea and Cole got engaged last November after almost a year of dating.
