Rumors are swirling that Cruise is dating Handmaid’s Tale star and Emmy-winning actress Elizabeth Moss. Cruise is known almost as much for his personal life as he is for his acting. The Mission Impossible star has been married a total of three times with the longest marriage lasting 11 years. In 1987, Cruise married actress and professional poker player Mimi Rogers. It was actually Rogers that introduced Cruise to the church of Scientology. The couple wasn’t able to make things work and divorced just three years after getting married in 1990.
On December 24, 1990, Cruise married actress Nicole Kidman, just 10 months after his divorce from Rogers was finalized. The couple met on the set of their movie Days of Thunder. Cruise and Kidman adopted two children during their marriage: Isabella, who is now 26, and Conner, who is 24. The couple divorced 11 years later in 2001.
Who can forget when Cruise jumped on Oprah Winfrey’s yellow couch and proclaimed his love for Katie Holmes? Cruise was smitten from the moment he met the young Dawson’s Creek star. Cruise couldn’t contain his smile as he told Winfrey: “I’m in love.” His interview included fist pumps, couch hopping, and jumping up and down. Holmes later revealed that she used to have a Tom Cruise poster on her wall growing up.

Moss has been a little quieter about her private life. Moss was married to actor and Portlandia star Fred Armisen from 2009 to 2011. Moss, who was 27-years-old when she married Armisen, admits that she was probably too young when she married the actor. In 2014 she revealed that she doesn’t regret divorcing Armisen, stating: “It was extremely traumatic and awful and horrible.” Moss was also rumored to have dated actor Tom Hiddleston.

The Top Gun actor has widely known for his involvement with the church of Scientology. He has long paraded how much he loves the church and what he has gained from it. The actor’s first wife was a Scientologist and his two adopted children have since joined the church.
Many people don’t realize it, but Moss is a Scientologist as well. While Cruise joined the church later in life, the former Mad Men actress was actually raised a Scientologist. Though she doesn’t talk much about her beliefs, she has on occasion defended her religion and asserts that her beliefs do not actually contradict with the messages of Handmaid’s Tale, as many fans have insinuated.
