The Miss Universe season circulated that the franchise will be awarded to the company of former Governor Chavit Singson’s LCS Group headed by his daughter Richelle Singson-Michael.
Currently, besides Miss Universe, BPCI selects Filipinas to be representatives and compete in Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Supranational, Miss Globe and Miss Grand International. Only Miss International belongs to the major league of beauty contests if Miss Universe will be stripped off Bb. Pilipinas.
