Indiana Jones fans will have to wait a little longer to see their favorite adventurer in action.

Disney announced some updates to their film release schedule on Tuesday, and fans were quick to note several changes. In particular, the Emily Blunt-starring Mary Poppins Returns has been moved up to Dec. 19, 2018, Maleficent 2's release date was announced as May 29, 2020 and the still-untitled fifth and final chapter in the Indiana Jones saga has been bumped back from July 10, 2020 to July 9, 2021.

And that's a wrap! Brie Larson took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal that filming on Captain Marvel has come to an end.

Larson shared the news with snapshot of the film's clapperboard.

In the photo, which the 28-year-old Oscar winner posted without a caption, the clapperboard -- which appears to be signed by most of the cast and crew -- rests on a calendar with the days marked off up until July 6, which is circled and the words "last day" are written below.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Hollywood’s most recent creature feature, has taken more than $900 million at the global box office in just a few weeks. August sees The Meg unleashed—based on Steve Alten’s novel, it’s a big-budget mega-Jaws featuring Jason Statham battling a 75 ft megalodon. And from Pacific Rim (2013) to Godzilla (2014) and Rampage (2018), these monster blockbusters can tell us a story about how Hollywood sits in global cinema, especially its power relationships with Asia.

One of the weirdest aspects of the Hollywood movie industry is the phenomenon of “twin films”.

The term refers to the release of two features extremely close in subject matter within weeks of one another, despite the studios presumably having a good idea what their rivals currently have in the pipeline.

Executives certainly socialise and production schedules are an open secret, with teaser trailers posted online at the earliest opportunity in order to kick-start the hype generator.

Ant-Man and The Wasp might be all the rage this weekend, but it isn't the only superhero film in theaters. Incredibles 2 is still going strong, and despite being its fourth weekend in theaters, the superhero sequel is set to claim the No. 2 spot for the weekend. The movie has broken a bunch of records at the box office already, but now it's poised to claim what might be its biggest achievement. This weekend, Incredibles 2 will make box office history by becoming the first animated movie to make $500 million domestically.

As the dust from Avengers: Infinity War settles -- or more fittingly, drifts away in the wind with the snap of the fingers -- you'll likely be in search of a respite from the harrowing tragedy that befell Earth's mightiest heroes. Ant-Man and the Wasp, the third and final Marvel Studios offering this year, is not that. It's bleak and depressing and of course I'm only kidding.
