We can’t get enough of the super talented “Brazilipina” TV host, singer and actress Daiana Menezes. And now her sister Laura has come to the Philippines to catch our eyes and capture our hearts.

In one of Daiana’s endorsement renewal photoshoots, which Laura was also a part of, we got the chance to know more about Laura.

Back in Brazil, Laura was finishing high school and never thought she would enter her sister’s world of showbusiness.

“I wasn’t modeling in Brazil, I was just studying. I’ve never been into modeling before. Well, once we did this commercial in Brazil then when I was about to go and see if I got the job, something went wrong that day that made me say, ‘No, I don’t want to do it anymore,’ and then I just forgot about modeling,” she shares.

Last year, Laura shed her baby fats which made her feel more confident about her body and herself.

“So I started to think about modeling and I said , ‘I lost weight so what can I do with it now I feel more confident’ so I talked to my sister,” Laura says. She went to the Philippines and since arriving, has been tagging along with Daiana.

Like Daiana, she also fell in love with the Philippines.

“The country reminds me of home sometimes, it’s very nice. And my sister is amazing, she’s right beside me for support,” says the 18-year-old Anne Hathaway look-alike. For her first engagement as a model in the Philippines, Laura has already been booked for print ads of a beauty company, a undergarment brand, and a big clothing line.

Daiana has also been pushing her to try and learn more things.

“I’m trying to learn singing with Daiana and I am inspired by her passion. When I asked her if she is a singer, she answered, ‘I do sing,’ so that became my goal,” adds Laura. She also wants to try acting. Even as a child, Laura has always been amazed by actors and actresses. Laura looks up to Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine and Hollywood’s super model Kendall Jenner.

She admits to not having a boyfriend right now, and for Valentine’s Day, she and Daiana have an “online promo” where lucky guys get the chance to go on a double date with the beautiful sisters. Mechanics are posted at fanbase.ph and @daianamenezes_ Instagram.

Someday, Laura dreams of having her own nice and comfortable house where she can spend time with her family and travel a lot. But for the meantime, she is focused on her budding career. With her sister Daiana behind her, and her beauty and talent, Laura has a long long way to go.

Mark Twain said, “Too much of anything is bad.” For DJ Naya of Wave 89.9, it was her large breasts that was too much.

DJ Naya, who hosts “Low Down” at 10 to 11 am Monday to Friday, is only 5 feet tall but wears 38 double D cup bras. Average Filipinas are only 34 to 36, cup A or B.

“I’ve been having back pains and shoulder pains since I was in college. I’m petite and my frame is pretty small so my boobs were just too big for me. The doctor said I carried 3.5 kilos, imagine carrying that around my neck for years!” says the 27-year-old DJ.

According to Dr. Jean Marquez, founder and owner of DARE, breasts may be assets of a woman, but large breasts can dominate a woman’s appearance, give an unbalanced physical profile, and make exercise difficult or impossible.

“Overly large breasts often affect self-confidence and even personal relationships,” she adds.

DARE, a dermatology, aesthetics, and restoration clinic that uses the most thoughtful and advanced, yet affordable skin care and beauty treatments, offers a surgical procedure that brings the breasts into better proportion with the rest of the body by removing excess breast tissue and skin.

“It’s not just an issue of aesthetics; it is more about feeling better, reducing or eliminating minor problems like back pain, neck pain and skin irritations, and serious issues like skeletal deformations and breathing problems,” explains Dr. April Ching, surgeon of DARE.

Dr. Jean, Like in all other procedures done at DARE, patients must undergo laboratory tests and cardiopulmonary clearance. The surgery usually lasts 1 to 3 hours depending on the area to be treated.

DJ Naya learned about DARE through her mother who is a regular client of Dr. Jean, one of the most prominent and sought after dermatologists in the country today. Dr. Jean co-hosts GMA’s PinoyMD, is a resident dermatologist of Unang Hirit, and a frequent resource person for TV and radio, magazines, broadsheets, and medical-related events.

Naya has been coming to DARE for her regular Botox and Ultherapy. In DARE’s 14 years of service, it has served more than 8,000 patients. It boasts of a wide array of treatments such as Facials, Peels, Acne, Blemishes and Scar Treatments, Skin Diseases, Nailbed Therapy, Whitening, Anti-Aging, Slimming, Hair Removal, Eyebrow Enrichment, Cosmetic Surgery, Hair Restoration, IV Nutrient Therapies, and Knee PRP treatments.

“The reason why I chose her is because I’ve been coming to her for my regular treatments for my face and I found out they had a surgery department so I brought my concern to her in reference to my breasts and she referred her surgeons to me and that’s how it started,” shares Naya.

People around her noticed that something was beautifully different with her, though they could not pinpoint exactly what it is, proving that the procedure did not cause a drastic change in her appearance.

“They just told me that I lost weight and they don’t know exactly what it was. I am very satisfied. If you are going to do anything like this, you need to trust your doctor. Make sure they are board-certified and that they address all your issues first then make sure they are 110% on board. I trust Dr. Jean with my life because it was a surgical procedure and anything can go wrong,” ends DJ Naya.

DARE is located at ESNA Bldg., 30 Timog Avenue, Quezon City. Book an appointment through 374-8087, 374-1076, or 0917810-1319. Clinic hours are at 11:00am to 8:00pm.
