Occasionally, new twists are added to the regular menu and new products are featured monthly to give customers more options to their meals.

Inspired by a chain of restaurants in the U.S. called Panda Express that serve mostly Chinese cuisine, owner Rosemarie Rafael named it “Elephant Express” because elephants are an icon in Thailand and because they serve fast food.

Rosemarie or “Ut” is the President of Airspeed International Corporation, Linex Corporation and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASP Airspeed Philippines. The first woman President of the Aircargo Forwarders of the Philippines, the only aircargo trade association recognized by the Civil Aeronautics Board, Ut is also into the food business. Years ago, she opened The Coffee Republic, her initial venture in the food industry, and now she has 1Sycamore Food Ventures, Manna Bakery & Café, and Elephant Express.

“I personally eat here, mainly because I enjoy the food that we serve but also to check if we still maintain the quality of our food,” says Ut, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Ephesians Management Corporation, President of Speedregalo, Signs and Wonders International, and RRS Worldwide Destinations.

“You don’t have to leave the Philippines to enjoy our neighbors’ dishes. Let Elephant Express be your Asian food guide!” adds Ut.

Previously “Kafe Yen” and “Asian Noodles Express,” Elephant Express has a wide variety of clients – from students to senior citizens, vegetarians and professionals – dining in its two outlets at Food Choices Alabang Town Center and Food Court Robinsons Place Las Piñas.

Ut says there are plans for expansion soon.

“Our food is meant to be shared and enjoyed by everyone,” ends Ut.
