Music producer, arranger, rap artist, and song writer Archie Malate, better known in the industry as Franchize, was recently nominated at the PMPC Star Awards for Music 2018 for Rap Artist of The Year and Rap Album of The Year alongside with some of best rappers in the country like Gloc9, Abra, Loonie, Ron Henley and Shanti Dope, to name a few.

His work for The Hybrid Project album under GMA Records is still available in all digital platforms. He is currently working on the songs Kalayo and Maling Tama and the Waray album “Darahug” together with fellow Waray rappers Denial The Rice Cracker and Deadkey. He is coming out with his next single set to be released before the year ends.

Behind the spotlight, Franchize says he is “just an ordinary guy with extra ordinary dreams.”

“I’m a fan of great artists and human beings,” says Archie, who does not adhere to any specific music genre but always makes rap an ingredient to the recipe.

In his free time, Archie still writes songs, practices his craft, and tries to be as productive as he can. He likes to stay home and watch TV or play video games, only goes out when needed, and usually kicks it with his friends after gigs.

Lovelife? “I have my ride or die girl. She’s amazing!” says Archie.

To maintain his health, Archie just makes sure everything is well balanced. He does not smoke nor drink.

Archie describes himself as “a commoner who freestyles my destiny” and the most important lesson he has in life is to always grab the opportunity the first time it presents itself because you might not get another shot. He has also learned to appreciate the small things in life and that there's always something to do to improve himself on a daily basis.

Someday, Archie dreams of putting up his own record label and produce the best artists for the next generations to embrace.
