Between her multiple endorsements and commitments at work, Marian Rivera-Dantes carves out time to cook meals for husband Dingdong and two-year-old daughter Zia.

It is, she said, a value she learned from her grandmother.

“Laki ako sa lola ko, [at] kahit na may helper kami, 'yung lola ko yung nagluluto para sa amin. So sabi ko, i-a-apply ko yun sa sarili ko and ‘yun din gagawin ko para sa pamilya ko (I grew up with my grandmother, and even though we had a helper, my grandmother was the one who cooked for us. So I told myself I would apply that to my life and do that for my family),” related Marian.

According to the 33-year-old mom, cooking for her family despite her busy schedule is one of the many fulfilling responsibilities of being a wife and a mother.

“Masarap kasi [sa pakiramdam] na yung asawa ko uuwi nang maaga [at] magsasabi sa akin na ‘o, mahal gusto ko mamaya ganito lutuin mo.’ ‘Pag nasa bahay ako, isa ito sa mga bagay na gusto kong ginagawa para sa anak at asawa ko, ang magluto (It’s a good feeling when my husband goes home early and will ask me, ‘love, here’s what I want you to cook later.’ Whenever I’m at home, it is one of the things I want to do for my child and husband, to cook),” shared Marian.

During the pilot run of the Prime Mom Club Workshop on July 20, Marian shared to other moms her chicken mushroom soup recipe—a dish, she said, Dingdong and Zia loves.

The Prime Mom Club is a community, which Marian is a part of, that aims to support moms in being kitchen savvy by enabling them with tips and delicious recipes using Mega Prime’s products.

The pilot workshop, held just as kids are going back to school, is an information-packed, interactive four-hour affair. It was geared to help moms level up their knowledge and skills in preparing delicious, nutritious, school-ready meals for their kids and the whole family as well.

“We know how difficult it is for moms to prepare meals that appeal to kids. This is why the pilot workshop is being held now. We want moms to discover easy-to-prepare, practical, delicious, and nutritious meals for school-aged kids and every member of the family,” said Marvin Tiu Lim, vice president for sales and marketing of Mega Global Corporation.

Aside from learning Marian’s chicken mushroom recipe, the pilot event also featured kitchen tips from Chef Niño Logarta and bento-making lesson from Kat Maderazo.

Marian Rivera reminded moms that the most important ingredient in cooking for family is “pure love.”

“Kapag ang isang bagay ginagawa mo with pure love, lalabas na maganda ang resulta. Every time na magluluto ako, sinisigurado ko na gusto ko yung ginagawa ko at gagawin ko ‘yun dahil mahal ko ang pamilya ko (When you do something with love, it will come out great. Every time I cook, I make sure I like what I’m doing and that I’m doing it because I love my family).”
