How to be a real ‘fitspiration’

Being physically fit doesn’t have an age limit; anyone can be strong and sexy at any point of their lives. These four individuals, who recently won in a fitness competition, prove that anyone, at any age, can become better versions of themselves.

To those saying that a mother can’t be sexy, 40-year-old hot momma Angel Jones begs to disagree.

Jones’ strong and slender body earned her the Century Tuna Superbods Ageless crown (female category). The Ageless category, which only opened in this year’s edition of Superbods, recognizes fit and sexy individuals aged 38 to 50.

Discipline and determination are big factors in helping Johann Ludovica get his ‘Ageless’ body. (Right) Hot momma Angel Jones shows that you can be sexy at 40

“I want to show every woman that it’s possible to have kids, have a career, and survive all the struggles but still look fantastic and gorgeous,” says Jones.

Her typical day starts at 6:00 a.m. when she makes breakfast for her actor son Tony Labrusca, she then works out at 8:00 a.m., cooks lunch for her daughter at 10:00 a.m., does errands and meetings in the afternoon, and enjoys a quiet and cozy evening with kids.

The male winner in the Ageless category, Johann Ludovica, is a person who’s disciplined and determined enough to keep his body fit. The 42-year-old makes sure his daily activities include basketball, weightlifting, and regular workouts at the gym. He remains disciplined, responsible, and driven despite the stress caused by his work as a BPO (business process outsourcing) trainer.

“Believe, because you can. And if you need help, ask me,” said Ludovica.

Although she grew up in the US, female Superbods winner Maureen Montagne had always been proud of her Filipino roots. She shows her appreciation for her heritage by helping and inspiring Filipino children.

The 24-year-old Fil-Am model said, “I hope to use my new found resources to continue volunteering and be able to give back to others.”

Montagne stays fit by going to the gym three to four times a week and doing exercises on a yoga mat at home.

Meanwhile, Superbods male winner Jules Aquino believes in setting goals, may it be for keeping your body healthy or for other things.

His advice for achieving a healthy physique is to stay consistent and do something fun. “When you enjoy the activities and have a positive outlook in life, you will reap countless benefits,” said the 24-year-old.

Aquino’s varied fitness routine includes Olympic lifting, calisthenics, plyometrics, high-intensity interval training or HIIT, animal flow, yoga, stretching and mobility work, running (long distances or short sprints), and gymnastics.

The Superbods category is open to fit and sexy individuals, 18 to 37 years old.

Jones, Ludovica, Montagne, and Aquino’s stories show that whatever the age or the circumstances, there is no limit to what you can do to be fit, sexy, and healthy.

“Through Century Tuna Superbods Ageless, we do not only recognize fit and sexy individuals but also promote healthy lifestyles for everyone regardless of age, gender, and status in life,” asserts Greg Banzon, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Century Pacific Food, Inc.
