The viral video of motivational and inspirational speaker Mr. Speaks about what to do when someone courts you, was tagged as Spam by Facebook, prompting Mr. Speaks himself, Manu Respall, to communicate with FB’s Mark Zuckerberg to review its content.

The video of of his talk on humanity and empowerment, posted on July 9 on his page, garnered millions of views and hundreds of thousands of shares in a span of 24 hours, something that has never happened in Philippine FB before.

In a week, it has caused a traffic of more than 23 million views, a conservative estimate due to Facebook blocking the ads and the ability to share.

“Facebook has shut off my capacity to promote the viral video, therefore making it impossible for more Facebook users to share and post it. Facebook’s customer service says that internal systems think the video is a spam or that we did something to cause this phenomenon to happen. But truthfully, it is 99% organic,” says Respall.

Facebook froze the page, accusing Respall of hacking and/or using BOTS  to manipulate shares, views, and likes. Viewers who have downloaded the video have posted it on their pages and walls, spreading its reach beyond the official page.

Respall was also surprised that his videos and posts have reached Dubai, the US, Kuwait, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK, Finland, Canada, and other countries. He has been getting invitations worldwide and is now sought-after for interviews and features on TV and radio.

Mr. Speaks, the youngest, most influential and controversial motivator in the country, has been tagged as the millennial Dalai Lama. He conducts talks and seminars on Love, Relationships, Leadership, Public Speaking, Trauma, Character Building, Career Path, Creative Writing, HR Management, People Skills, Moving On, Self-Worth, Art for Teaching, and many more. He has spoken in church communities, schools, companies, ambassadors, business leaders, and 72 congregations of nuns and priests.

He has an upcoming talk titled “About Love and Lies” on August 12 at Fully Booked BGC. Respall says it will be an exchange of views and perception on love.

“There are no rules, no secrets, just truths about the lies on love. This is only for the brave who can break themselves into pieces for love. Expect to alk away from this day wrecked, or at the least elevated, elated with the power of the truth about love,” says Respall.
