Concepcion Industrial Corporation (CIC), industry leader in air-conditioning and refrigeration for over 50 years, has enlisted BackOffice Associates and Fasttrack Solutions Inc. as it migrates from BaaN to SAP S/4 HANA to improve core business operations.

SAP S/4 HANA is an enterprise resource planning system that allows for better data quality, single source of truth, collaborative data construction and validation and project visibility and audit trail.

“The most critical element in any implementation is data and this is where we do not want take any chances. This is why we decided to work with BackOffice and Fasttrack.   We are dealing with decades of critical information about our products and our customers here,” said Victoria Betita, CFO and CIO of CIC. “And we know that for this project to be a success, we need to be efficient and accurate in the handling of information that goes into our new ERP.”

BackOffice Associates is a US-based data company with regional headquarters in Singapore. In the Philippines, BackOffice has an office and also counts with an offshore delivery center in Manila, with plans to scale up its resources pool and skill base.

For over 20 years, BackOffice’s revolutionary platform, the Data Stewardship Platform (DSP) has been known for extracting and transforming and harmonizing data from multiple sources. BackOffice Associates solutions and methodology will allow Concepcion to:

*Assure compliance to both internal and external standards

*Ensure all data is business-ready

“Data is the lifeblood of ERP systems,” said Krish Datta, CEO of Asia Pacific and Middle East for BackOffice Associates “We will ensure the data is business-ready before migrating it to a new system and create data validation rules for migration and reuse them in downstream Data Governance projects”

Fasttrack Solutions (FTSI), meanwhile, will implement the SAP S/4 HANA system. FTSI is the only SAP Platinum Partner in the Philippines and has worked with hundreds of companies, of various sizes across different industries, in the Asia-Pacific region to implement SAP systems.

“CIC already has great presence all over the country,” Kerwin Malabanan, FTSI managing director, said. “Aside from its manufacturing capabilities, its sales, distribution and after-market networks are already excellent. Now it is embarking on this digital journey of sorts. Acknowledging changing times and trying to adapt to them is what separates the great firms from the good ones.”

“To be business-ready is to have clean, accurate and validated data that completely supports all the business processes in an enterprise data is consistent”, said. Datta from BackOffice Associates.

Migrating to SAP S/4 HANA will allow CIC to have harmonized data, create data validation rules, adjust to rapidly changing environments, go live on time, within budget and on-quality, and be compliant with internal and external standards.

“We have established our leadership through building knowledge of what our customers want and need, and where the industry is headed,” Betita said. “Our migration to SAP S/4 HANA will secure our position today and onwards, in these interesting, dynamic times.”
