Located at the ground floor of The Shops at Alphaland Makati Place, UpMarket’s products include handcrafted sausages, Wagyu beef, organic vegetables, artisan snacks, condiments, home and personal care products, fashion finds, dairy, cakes, ice cream, craft beers, wines, and much more. “Before UpMarket, you had to go to several different places around the city to find what we offer,” says Anna Ongpin, President of Alphaland Corporation. “Now, you can find it all at UpMarket, and there’s plenty of parking and it’s climate-controlled so you’re not lugging your stuff around in the hot sun or pouring rain.”
Aside from carrying a wide variety of premium and award-winning products such as Kitayama beef, Carmen’s Best Ice Cream, and Malagos Chocolate, UpMarket also supports small but high-quality brands such as Ritual, and Pedro Brewcrafters.
Fresh produce from Balesin Island Club, Alphaland Corporation’s flagship project, is exclusively sold in the city at the Balesin Bounty stall at UpMarket. Balesin Bounty herbs and vegetables are grown organically in the island's farm, from organic and heirloom seeds brought in directly from Italy every few months. Benefiting from the island's naturally fertile soil, and further enhanced by vermiculture-assisted composting, the farm was set up to provide Balesin Island Club's restaurants with fresh organic produce. “Now, we’re sharing our excess bounty with you, via UpMarket,” says Anna Ongpin. “We’re also offering the very popular Balesin balut and penoy, fresh from our own duck farm on the island. If you haven't tasted them, prepare to be wowed!”
Another remarkable find is Baguio Highlands Crafts. The wood crafts are made by Ifugao artisans, whose trade has been passed down over generations. Some pieces come to UpMarket directly from the Mountain Province, while others are made in Balesin by the residents of the Ifugao Camp, who are part of the An'a tribe from Ifugao province. The craftsmen were brought to and employed by Balesin to make the island's wooden furniture and accessories. At the Camp, their own village on the island, they live in traditional Igorot homes on stilts There’s no need to scour the metro for gourmet and artisanal products, just head to UpMarket at Makati Place for the best selection.
