Tacloban City – Launching recently her new album “Thinkin of you” under VIVA Records making it to the Top 10 singles in Metro Manila, our very own SOFIA GONZALEZ ROMUALDEZ will perform her musical talents at the Sangyawan Music Festival Park come June 27 night.

The daughter of then Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez and Mayor Cristina Gonzalez Romualdez, SOFIA did her school studies in the City. Having her love for music SOFIA would do a number singing in private occasions with friends close to the family.

The love for music was in Sofia at an early age and she idolizes musical songs of the famous artist Adele. Her parent supported her musical endeavor all the way.

Passionate of her love for music, Sofia ventured in the Music industry at an early age. Music according to SOFIA was in her, with the influence of musical people around her she tried writing songs.

Viva Records gave SOFIA a break. In a write-up made by VIVA, VIVA described her as growing up with musically inclined roots, 18 years old SOFIA GONZALEZ ROMUALDEZ follows the footsteps of her family as she steps into the spotlight in the music industry.

SOFIA has been a VIVA Records recording artists for over 2 years, debuting with her singles “Pikit Mata” included in the Julian Trono and Ella Cruz movie “Fan Girl Fan Boy”.

Passionate with music since she was little, Sofia ventured out with the music industry and has matured in a short span of time. Her latest single, VIVA said, showcased her talent and amazing vocals in the foreign-sounding pop- R&B piece.

SOFIA revealed to VIVA also, that she aims to be a unique artist in the market. According to SOFIA “I don’t really write to sell, it defeats the purpose of being an artist. Being yourself is key, it’s better to sound weird than to sound every other “artist” in the market. We shouldn’t be afraid to express ourselves, that’s the point of being an artist after all.”

Having a lot of musical passion in her SOFIA has a lot to showcase her hidden talents as she will be writing more songs in the years to come.

VIVA Records call her a gem among other ‘artists’ in the field of Pinoy Pop. Sofia is unique in a way that she does what she wants and records the music that she loves most.
