IT'S moving on to the 'new normal' for the Philippine Basketball Association. Effective Wednesday, attendance for the season-ending Governor's Cup will be back to full capacity according PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial.

The decision was made after NCR Plus and other neighboring provinces have been placed under Alert Level 1 starting March 1.

The PBA strictly adhered to a 50% audience capacity while NCR remained under Level 2.

Health and safety protocols imposed by the league will remain though, as fans will still be required to present their vaccination cards along with a valid government ID.

The PBA returns to the Smart Araneta Coliseum for Wednesday's double header after staging the previous 10 games at the Ynares Center in Antipolo to give way to the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament.

Wednesday's games feature NorthPort against Blackwater at 3 p.m., followed by the showdown between tournament leaders Magnolia and Meralco at 6 o'clock.

On Sunday, the games pitting Barangay Ginebra and Terrafirma and Magnolia against San Miguel drew a crowd of 3,561 at the Ynares Center.(PBA)
