THE PBA kicks off its campaign in the East Asia Super League (EASL) on the road either against a team from Japan or Korea.

Commissioner Willie Marcial bared of his recent talks with EASL co-founder and CEO Matt Beyer, who told him about the scheduled games of the teams representing the league in the home-and-away tournament.

"Nagbigay na sila ng schedule. October 12 away, and October 19 home. Ang alam ko ang kalaban natin either Japan or Korea," said Marcial.

In view of this, the league is in the process of adjusting the schedules of teams set to see action in the five-month long meet that will be held during the PBA's 47th season.

The league already did the same arrangement back in 2019 when three teams participated in the Terrific 12 edition of the EASL.

San Miguel, TNT, and Blackwater represented the PBA in the tournament three years ago, where the Beermen reached as far as the semifinals stage.

The EASL will hold three games at home and three games on the road among the eight teams seeing action in its rejigged format. (RG)
