Filipino star Kevin Belingon hasn’t had the best run of form in the past three years in ONE Championship.

The once-proud ruler of the bantamweights is on a four-fight losing streak heading into his pivotal matchup against Kim Jae Woong at ONE Fight Night 4 on November 19 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Belingon, who held the ONE Bantamweight World Title from 2018 to 2019, will welcome Kim into the 145-pound division and he’s ready to step back inside the Circle with renewed vigor and energy

“If you call this a curse then I have an antidote this time. I'm very motivated and excited to win this match and bring back my winning streak, and fight for the world title once again in the future,” said Belingon.

“Winning this match is very important to me. This is for my redemption and it will put me back on top. I need this.

Kim, however, is a tough task to deal with. The South Korean is a menacing striker and was once the no.1-ranked featherweight contender in ONE Championship.

“The Fighting God” has a 100 percent finishing rate with all three of his wins coming via knockout. The 29-year-old is also three inches taller than the 5-foot-5 Belingon.

Despite Kim’s size, Belingon said he has no problems fighting against the taller fighter and he’s ready to dish out whatever punishment he’ll think of during the match.

“I fought taller guys before so height doesn’t pose a problem for me. I just have to focus on executing my game plan and win the match.”

Belingon added that he’s getting better day by day in his preparation against Kim.

The Team Lakay star has been training nonstop in La Trinidad to get into peak shape while also serving as a guest coach in the reality show ONE Warrior Series.

“We are warriors, we are athletes, a fight is a fight. Everything is going better and better. I'm more than 100% ready and primed for this fight.”
