ONE Championship is set to rock China once again, as The Home of Martial Arts heads to Shanghai for ONE: BEYOND THE HORIZON on Saturday, 8 September, featuring a stacked card headlined by China’s own ‘The Panda’ Xiong Jing Nan defending her ONE Women’s Strawweight World Championship against Brazilian newcomer Samara ‘Marituba’ Santos.

The fans at the Baoshan Arena will also get to witness a showdown of sorts between two of Asia’s top martial arts stables, as the Philippines’ Team Lakay and Singapore’s Evolve MMA go head to head.

Ever since his remarkable three-bout winning streak was halted by then-debutant Emilio Urrutia in August 2017, Filipino spitfire Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly has had a mixed run of results.

Following his astonishing 21-second knockout of Cambodia’s Meas Meul last January, Kelly then suffered a second-round technical knockout loss at the hands of former ONE Featherweight World Champion Narantungalag “Tunga” Jadambaa five months later.

Headlining the stacked card will be China’s very own reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion ‘The Panda’ Xiong Jing Nan (15-1-0) defending her title against Brazilian newcomer Samara ‘Marituba’ Santos (12-5-1) in what is sure to be another thrilling mixed martial arts showcase between two talented competitors.

ONE: REIGN OF KINGS last 27 July at the SM Mall of Asia Arena proved to be a good night for the Filipino mixed martial artists that showcased their talents on the stacked card.

Capped off by Team Lakay’s Kevin ‘The Silencer’ Belingon capturing the ONE Interim Bantamweight World Championship, the Filipino contingent went for a perfect 4-0 sweep on the night, which also included victories from former ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard ‘Landslide’ Folayang, as well as a couple of strawweight contenders in Joshua ‘The Passion’ Pacio and Rene ‘D’Challenger’ Catalan.

For the third time in 2018, ONE Championship™ (ONE), the largest global sports media property in Asian history, brought their exciting brand of martial arts action to Philippine soil and once again, it brought the house down.  

ONE: REIGN OF KINGS, which was held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last Friday, 27 July, featured a stacked card from top to bottom, and was headlined by top Filipino bantamweight contender Kevin ‘The Silencer’ Belingon of Team Lakay who defeated reigning ONE Featherweight and Lightweight World Champion Martin ‘The Situ-Asian’ Nguyen to become the new ONE Interim Bantamweight World Champion.
