The 2023 Professional Fighters League Challenger Series resumed action tonight at Universal Studios, in Orlando, Florida, with a four-fight card that featured fighters from the Women’s Featherweight division. At the conclusion of the evening, an all-star judging panel, consisting of Tyron Woodley, Randy Couture and Paige VanZant, awarded the second contract of the 2023 Challenger Series to Amanda Leve. Leve joins Welterweight Thad Jean, as PFL Challenger Series contract winners.

The event was streamed exclusively on Fubo Sports, the live, free-to-consumer TV network from FuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO), the leading sports-first live TV streaming platform.

In the week two PFL Challenger Series  main event the United States’ Leve, a world class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and Mongolia’s Naranjargal Tsend-Ayush, an undefeated mixed martial artist took to the PFL SmartCage with a contract on the line. After three rounds of back-and-forth action, Leve came away with the unanimous decision win, 29-28 across the board. With the win, Leve earned the second win of her MMA career, and a prized PFL contract in the process.

In the co-main event of the night, the United States’ Jeslen Mishelle, a grappling specialist with two previous PFL Challenger Series victories, faced off with Brazil’s Evelyn Martins, a 20-year-old phenom who fights out of American Top Team in Coconut Creek, FL. The catchweight contest saw Martins earn the first finish of her young MMA career by submitting Mishelle by rear naked choke at the 1:38 mark of the second round. Martins improved to 3-0 in her career.

“The 2023 PFL Challenger Series continued with a thrilling night of action from the Women’s Featherweight division,” said Ray Sefo, President of Fighter Operations of PFL. “Congratulations to Amanda, we look forward to watching you embark on your journey with the PFL.”

Further action saw American Jackie Cataline match up with Senna Van De Veerdonk of the Netherlands. Making her third appearance on the PFL Challenger Series, Cataline needed just under one round to take care of business against Van de Veerdonk, winning by TKO at the 4:09 mark. Cataline improved to 3-1 in her professional career.

Kicking off the Women’s Featherweight card, New Zealand’s Michelle Montague returned to the PFL Challenger Series after securing a first-round submission in 2022, and faced off against Shaquita Amador Woods of the United States. With two-time PFL Women’s Lightweight Champion Kayla Harrison in her corner, Montague put on a dominant showing as she submitted Woods by rear naked choke at the 4:45 mark of the second round. Montague extends her undefeated streak to three straight.
