16 JULY 2017 - CEBU CITY: Visiting team Davao Aguilas FC, came in as an underdog in an exciting Saturday night match at the Cebu City Sports Center.  The home crowd expected a third straight win from Global Cebu FC, winning over Ceres Negros FC and Stallions Laguna FC just days before.  But the Aguilas thwarted the crowd’s expectation and ended the match with a clean sheet, and a score of 0-0.

Ceres Negros FC braved the rains over the weekend to defend its home at the Panaad Park and Stadium with a stunning 7-0 victory over visiting Ilocos United FC.

‘Man of the Match’ Stephan Schrock opened Ceres FC scoring spree in the early 12th minute of the game off a short pass from OJ Porteria beating Ilocos United keeper Baba Sampana.

FC MERALCO Manila reasserted its might in the Philippines Football League on Saturday night, beating erstwhile streaking JPV Marikina FC, 2-1, in the battle of top teams at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

Using a “gift” from its opponent in the opening half as a springboard, the Sparks, with the win, improved to 7-2-0 and 23 points in nine games, five points clear of JPV (6-0-3), which has 18 points.

Ceres Negros FC cameout with a solid 5-2 win over the weekend to sweep the visiting Stallion Laguna FC in their fourth straight victory in the Philippines Football League at the Panaad Oark and Stadium.

The home squad delighted the 2,640 fans at Panaad with Stephan Schröck opening the scoring in the 12th minute – beating Stallion keeper Roland Sadia as Jeffrey Christaens made it doubled in the 25th minute on a pass from the former SpVgg Greuther Fürth midfielder.
