A new winning streak has been started, as the Bucks took down the Phoenix Suns with ease, 129-108.

Despite the early tip time on a Sunday afternoon, neither teams looked too sluggish to begin this one (that’s always refreshing to see). Instead, the Bucks would ride a wave of eight points from Brook Lopez and seven from Giannis Antetokounmpo to conquer a 30-26 point advantage after one. The Greek Freak would also post seven rebounds in the opening 12 minutes.

Antetokounmpo would start to really ignite things in the second, quickly tallying five points as soon as the quarter began. Brook Lopez would also start to roll, including a triple that provided Milwaukee with an 11-point lead at the midway point of the period. Milwaukee would utilize a run to close out the second quarter to construct a 67-52 halftime advantage.

The third quarter was pretty bland, with the Bucks maintaining their double-digit lead. Phoenix would bite things down to just 11 points at one point, but they could never get over that double figure deficit. Instead, the Bucks would keep piling it on. At the end of three, the Bucks built up a 97-80 lead.

From there, it was smooth sailing down the stretch. Phoenix would never even come anywhere near getting back into the contest, and Milwaukee prevailed to a 129-108 victory.

Stat That Stood Out

I’m going to go with Donte DiVincenzo on this one. After being held out the last game from a sprained ankle, it was clear just how big of an impact he has when he’s out on the court. He’d wind up finishing with a 15 points off the bench. His defense is frequently contagious, as it really does seem as if he’s everywhere waiting in anticipation for passes. In fact, early in the first half, he even broke up an alley-oop attempt by Phoenix. What Donte does without the basketball night in and night out is truly fascinating to watch and his play will surely be pivotal for Milwaukee down the stretch.
