Fiercest rivals Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University battle it out in the basketball court for the UAAP Men’s Basketball Championship Season 79 starting Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
This is the first time the archrivals face each other again since 2008 in the so-called “Dream Finals.”
The Blue Eagles recently dethroned Far Eastern University (FEU) in overtime, 69-68, Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Green Archers (13-1) have league MVP Ben Mbala and veterans Jerome Teng and Norbert Torres while the Blue Eagles (10-4) have Thirdy Ravena, Aaron Black and Mike Nieto.
But in this dream game, the Lasallians are under pressure while the Ateneans have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Everyone is excited to see either the Blue Eagles upsetting DLSU or the Green Archers capping off a dream season.
