“AddedSport, which started six years ago in Singapore, would like to help junior athletes get into their dream university in the US through sports. We really believe we have a lot of young and talented Filipino athletes,” sambit ni Angelo.

“Our group was founded by University of California Berkeley golf scholar Akshay Maliwal in 2013 because he wanted to help more Asians to get the same experience and the same high-level training that he had in UC Berkeley,” aniya.

“Our aim is to bridge the gap between Asian athletes and US college coaches. Geographically, we’re miles away from the US and we’re at a disadvantage since college coaches don’t see our athletes play. They see athletes from neighboring states and countries but not our athletes,” sambit ni Angelo sa programa na itnataguyod ng Philippine Sports Commission, National Press Club, PAGCOR, Community Basketball Association at HG Guyabano Tea Leaf Drinks.

“What we do now is to help kids in the Philippines and Asia to get connected to these US college coaches and use sports to get US college education.”

“But we recently officially launched this scholarship progrm to help unleash the potential of athletes, especially those who are financially limited..”
