    PSC, suportado ang Talaingod volleyball girls

    MULA sa malayong bayan sa Davao del Norte, sumibol ang talento at lumutang ang angking kakayahan ng mga batang volleyball player mula sa Indigenous Peoples ng Talaingod sa nakalipas na Batang Pinoy ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
    Mismong si PSC Chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez ay napahanga sa kakayahan ng grupo kung kaya’t inatasan si Commissioner Charles Maxey na imbitahan ang Talaingod volleyball girls team sa Manila para sumabak sa serye ng exhibition game laban sa dekalida na koponan na sumasabak sa Rebisco Volleyball League.
    Binubuo ng 10 atleta, dalawang coach, dalawang supporting staff at isang school administrator, dumating sa Manila ang Ata-Manobo tribe nitong Linggo at kaagad na sumalang sa laro kahapon sa Ynares Sports Arena sa Pasig City.
    Ayon kay Maxey, nangangasiwa sa grassroots sports program ng PSC sa Mindanao, sinuportahan ng PSC ang exposure ng Talaingod girls volleyball team batay sa mandato ng ahensiya na palakasin ang talento ng Pinoy mula sa grassroots level hanggang sa elite status bilang pagtalima sa kautusan ng Pangulong Duterte na linangin ang talento sa mga lalawigan.
    "This exposure is part of Chairman Butch Ramirez's instructions to provide a good exposure and experience for the team which can help them develop their skills in their sport," pahayag ni Maxey.
    Sa pakikipagtulungan ng Rebisco Volleyball League organizers, naisaayos ang exhibition games ng The Talaingod girls volleyball team laban sa mga high school teams mula sa USA-Hawaii and Thailand.
    Bukod sa libreng biyahe, accommodation at allowances, nagkaloob din ang PSC sa Talaingod girls ng sports equipment tulad ng sapatos, competition uniform at training uniform.
    "The girls trained for these games. We will see how they will fare out," pahayag ni  Arlyn Murillo, Talaingod school administrator  at tumatayong head delegation.PR
