UAAP Season 82 Cheerdance release: Order of performance

NATIONAL University Pep Squad hopes to deliver a performance for the ages in the UAAP Season 82 Cheerdance Competition set on November 17 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

During yesterday's lottery, the first in the 25 years of the rich history of the league's highly popular special event, coach Ghicka Bernabe picked the Bulldogs No. 8 in the tambiolo.

This is the first time that the NU Pep Squad will be performing last in since the 2014 edition, when the Bustillos-based cheerdancers won back-to-back titles.

The Bulldogs were simply sensational in winning fifth championships in the last six years and Bernabe hopes to do the same this season.

With a lot of expectations, the NU Pep Squad are ready to deliver its A-game.

"It's a failure for us kung hindi kami magbibigay ng magandang performance," said Bernabe, who also gave a hint that her cheerdance crew will give a tribute to all the Filipinos.

Last season's runner-up Far Eastern University Cheering Squad will be the fifth performer while Season 80 champion Adamson University Pep Squad, which placed third last year, will be at No. 6.

De La Salle Animo Squad will perform first, followed by University of the East Pep Squad, University of the Philippines Pep Squad and Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion.

University of Salinggawi Dance Troupe, an eight-time champion along with UP, will be the seventh performer.

NU Pep Squad complete a successful comeback in the throne before a capacity crowd of 20,117 at the Mall of Asia Arena last season.

Making amends from last season's disappointment of missing the podium, NU Pep Squad did not let its community down with a near-flawless and precise performance to reclaim the bragging rights as the league's best cheerdance squad with 711 points.

A funky FEU Cheering Squad brought back a lot of memories with their 70s-inspired moves, garnering 655.5 points, to make a return trip to the podium with a runner-up finish.

Adamson University Pep Squad brought pride with a Lion King-inspired routine that earned a third place finish with 638.5 points.
