TELUS International Philippines Bags Women's Badminton Doubles Championship at the 2018 BPO Olympics

TELUS International Philippines (TIP) stamped its dominance at the 2018 BPO Olympics once more after its women's badminton doubles team bagged the tournament championship, adding another trophy to their current haul.

The ladies from TIP emerged on top after a thrilling three-set match against Cognizant. After splitting the first two sets, the deciding battle on the badminton court entertained spectators, as both teams chased every shot and defended countless smashes.

In the end, the TIP duo of Ma. Camille Mascariña and Jill Castillo showed familiarity with each other’s play, demonstrating great teamwork as they defended well in the closing rallies of the match to win the third and final set, with the score of 15-14.

With the win in women’s badminton doubles, TIP adds another trophy to their men's table tennis individual championship, won earlier in the tournament.

The BPO Olympics is an annual sporting event for the business process outsourcing industry, with tournaments for various sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, airsoft, billiards, darts, cheerdance, football, and marathon. A total of 28 companies are participating in the 2018 edition of BPO Olympics.
