SPORTSMANILA waxed hot from beyond the arc to demolish the Black Panther, 79-67, and notch their first victory in the in the 2018 PMC Cup at the Dona Manuela Subdivision, Pamplona Las Pinas on Sunday, July 1.

The Sportsmanila fired seven three-pointers – the most by any team in the league so far in the conference – to claim the comfortable win.

The Fast and Furious Ryan Guevarra scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds . He knocked down six of his 10 attempts from beyond the arc to fuel the Sportsmanila's offensive charge.

Five other players scored in double-digits for Sportsmanila, with Gunner Louis Pangilinan contributing 13 points and eight assists, Nino Obama 10 Pts and 14 Rebounds, Legend Big Man Jose Cortez 8 pts and 9 rebounds, Robbie Pangilinan 9 pts, Mike Santiago 4pts and 2pts Doods Lozano to lead Sportsmanila.

Sportsmanila led by as much as 18 points, 58-40, off a Pangilinan triple. Nino Obama put the finishing touches on the victory with a two-handed throw down inside the final two minutes.

"Our goal as a team is to be consistent on both ends," said Playing Coach Robbie Pangilinan. "Today, despite us using a lot of people, medyo consistent kami the whole 48 minutes."

Black Panther for its part, managed to make only 39.2% of its shots. They were a respectable 13-of-31 from three-point range courtesy of Playing Coach Dr. Arvin Marbibi, but an 18-of-48 clip on two-point field goals doomed the Black Panther as they bricked several makeable shots, including transition opportunities from players like Jojo Marbibi and Ichi Ann.
