Red Bull Racing’s Preparation for the 2022 F1 Grand Prix

MANILA, Philippines - The world witnessed the return of Formula One Racing in Southeast Asia during the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix last September 30th to October 2nd and the Japanese Grand Prix last October 7th to October 9th. Asian fans were pumped up to see the race, with all eyes on the leading team, Red Bull Racing and star drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Peréz.

The juggernaut team was determined to head to the Lion City and the Land of the Rising Sun with one thing on their minds, victory at all costs.

As far as the Asian fanbase goes for Formula One, the Philippines is notably one of the most prominent countries that support the sport. With thousands of Filipinos showing up for the race, it’s only fitting for Red Bull Philippines to show the country’s loyal fans a glimpse of the winning team’s secret to success. During the Singapore Grand Prix, celebrity athlete and sports journalist Gretchen Ho witnessed the pre-race preparation and got an up-close look at the hard work that goes through the garage of Red Bull Racing.

“I was amazed with how many people it takes to get a racer going. More than 60 people in one paddock just to make sure everything’s alright and optimal. In F1, it’s not only the driver that matters but the complete set of people behind him AND the technology of the car. You’ve got to be in your A-Game all the time. We were pretty much starstruck seeing the best cars inside the Red Bull paddock.” Ho shared after witnessing Red Bull Racing’s preparation ahead of the Singapore leg of the race.

Following Ho’s experience, it became clear that the Red Bull Racing team is a force to be reckoned with, and they are not showing any signs of slowing down any time soon. Despite harsh weather conditions, the team steamrolled their way into victory during the Singapore Grand Prix, with Sergio Pérez leading the pack. The Japanese Grand Prix, United States Grand Prix, and Mexican Grand Prix reaped the same result, with the team’s number one driver Max Verstappen securing the top spot at the podium in both consecutive races. Pérez and Verstappen secured 25 points with their respective victories, bringing the Red Bull Racing team further up in the rankings.

The Red Bull Racing team is set to carry on this momentum in the Brazilian leg of the race at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace track this November 12th to November 14th.
