Tokyo Olympics : Sports official nagpositibo sa Covid -19

Nagkaproblema ang delegasyon ng Pilipinas sa  Tokyo Olympics nang ibunyag ni Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Bambol Tolentino na isang  opisyal na dapat kabilang sa delegasyon ng pambansang koponan ang nagpositibo sa coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
 
"He will not be able to go there anymore," sambit ni Tolentino sa panayam. 
 
Ang mga atleta ay kinakailangang imonitor para sa sintomas at itala ang kanilang  temperatura araw-araw sa loob ng dalawang linggo sa health-reporting app bago lumipad pa-Tokyo Japan. 
 
Kailangan din nilang gumawa ng “activity plan” sa unang 14 na araw  sa Japan na nagsasaad kung kailan sila pupunta, paano sila makakapunta at ano ang kanilang mga aktibidades ayon sa  NBC Olympics.
 
Walang quarantine na kailangan ngunit sa panahon ng kanilang Olympic stay, kailangan ng mga atleta na ma- test
 nang hindi kukulangin sa kada apat na araw at may temperature checks sa lahat ng venues.
 
Ang atletang magpopositibo ay kailangang ihiwalay at hindi papayagang mag-compete. 
 
Ilang kasapi ng  Philippine team ang nasa Tokyo na, ang main hub ng pinakamalaking global sport event na raratsada sa July 23 sa kabila nang nilatag na state of emergency dulot ng  Covid-19 cases.
 
Naunang dumating noong Martes sa Philippine team ay sina Chef de Mission Nonong Araneta, Dr. Randy Molo, POC general manager Dinah Remolacio, games management officer Martin Gregorio, at protocol officer Jarryd Bello.
 
Sina rower Cris Nievarez, kanyang coach Edgar Maerina, at rowing association treasurer Magnum Membrere ay nasa Japan na rin. 
 
Nasa Tokyo na rin ang Philippine boxing team na nagsagawa ng hiwalay na training camps.
 
Sina Eumir Marcial at coach Ronald Chavez ay dumating mula sa  Los Angeles, habang sina Carlo Paalam, Irish Magno, Nesthy Petecio, at  coaches Nolito Velasco, Elmer Pamisa, Reynaldo Galido, at Australian consultant Donald Walter Abnett ay pawang galing saBangkok.
 
Sina Judoka Kiyomi Watanabe at gymnast Caloy Yulo ay nag-eensayo sa Tokyo at papasok sa  Athletes’ Village sa Linggo. 
 
Ang iba pang miyembro ng  19-man PH team ay sina golfers Yuka Saso, Bianca Pagdanganan, at Juvic Pagunsan; weightlifters Hidylyn Diaz at Elreen Ando; skateboarder Margielyn Didal; pole vaulter EJ Obiena; trackster Kristina Marie Knott; shooter Jayson Valdez; taekwondo jin Kurt Barbosa; at swimmers Luke Gebbie at Remedy Rule.
