    During the Laging Handa public briefing Wednesday, Concepcion said these vaccines that are set to expire are worth PHP40 billion.

    The partial cost of damage to public infrastructure in three regions by Tropical Depression Agaton is over PHP1 billion, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported on Wednesday.

    According to DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado, citing the latest report from the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance, the estimated damage to national roads and bridges is at PHP1.45 billion in Regions 8 (Eastern Visayas), 12 (Soccksargen), and 13 (Caraga).

    Senator Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian on Wednesday said the salary increase for public school teachers is already overdue and should be the priority of the next administration.

    Gatchalian, chairman of the Senate Committee on Basic Education, Arts, and Culture, is pushing to raise the salary of Teacher I from Salary Grade 11 (PHP25,439) to Salary Grade 13 (PHP29,798) or Salary Grade 14 (PHP32,321).

    Some five cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) have logged zero new coronavirus cases on April 19, the OCTA Research Group said Wednesday.

    Tropical Storm Agaton continued to move slowly westward over the coastal waters of Balangiga, Eastern Samar, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.

    In its 2 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the center of “Agaton” was spotted over the coastal waters of Balangiga, Eastern Samar with maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center, gustiness of up to 105 kph, and central pressure of 998 hPa (hectoPascals).
