WOMAN International Master (WIM) Catherine Pereña Secopito will spearhead a strong cast clashing in the Woman Fide Master Sheerie Joy Lomibao-Beltran FIDE rating rapid chess tournament (Women's Open category) on December 14, 2019, Saturday at the 2nd Floor Open Kitchen Restaurant Airconditioned food hall , Rockwell Business Center, Sheridan, Greenfields District in Mandaluyong City.

WOMAN International Master (WIM) Catherine Pereña Secopito will spearhead a strong cast clashing in the Woman Fide Master Sheerie Joy Lomibao-Beltran FIDE rating rapid chess tournament (Women's Open category) on December 14, 2019, Saturday at the 2nd Floor Open Kitchen Restaurant Airconditioned food hall , Rockwell Business Center, Sheridan, Greenfields District in Mandaluyong City.
 
Secopito, the tournament top seed with an elo rating of 2063, looms as the player to beat in the one-day tournament owing to his big wins in this year's Manila Southeast Asian Games at the Traveler's hotel in Subic Freeport, Zambales.
 
Secopito who teaming up with Woman Grandmaster Janelle Mae Frayna and Woman Fide Master Shania Mae Mendoza carry the good fight for the Pinay woodpushers who took the gold medal in the demonstration sports of team problem solving category.
 
The event hosted by China Aurelio and Mimi Casas of Open Kitchen and backed up by Woman Fide Master Sheerie Joy Lomibao-Beltran in close cooperation with Dr. Alfred Paez, Joel Pineda, Ryan Lopez Sauz and Byron Gabrentina Villar offers a top purse of P10,000 and a trophy plus brand new Michael Kors watch. 
 
Other woodpushers vying in the Fide rating rapid tournament are Woman International Master Bernadette Galas, Woman Fide Masters Cherry Mejia, Allaney Jia Doroy and Samantha Glo Revita, Woman National Masters Carmelita Abanes and Francois Marie Magpily.
 
Bannering the non-master challenge are Enrica Villa, Alexis Anne Asena, Manilyn Cabungcag,Rinoa Mariel and Chessica Fiona Sadey, Brena Mae and Merlene Membrere, Shaira Mae, Shanaia Marie and Stella Theresa Aquino, Mariel Batulan-Romero, Jade Santos,  Camille Pasiderio, Heart Padilla, Jade Santos,Jocelyn Tuibuen Berago, Arlyn Victorio,  Kristine Mae and Yvy Shane Bolanos, Danielle Maegan Lopez, Precious Nicole Lasin, Mary Grace Layan, Maria Luz Morada, Alanice Nichole Miranda, Gemma Condes-Alcodia, Mary Israel Palero-Segarra, Tara Jade Aurelio-Dableo and Mary Grace Telebrico-Litao.
 
Meanwhile, two-time kiddies 14 years old and below champion Angele Tenshi Biete will begin his bid to retain his title. Biete, the tournament top pick (elo rating of 1999) goes up against Arena Grandmaster Srihaan Poddar, Lexie Grace Hernandez, Jasper Faeldonia, Earl Lance Montion, Jeremy Marticio, Joshua Michael Yongco, Lemmuel Jay Adena, Mar Aviel Carredo, Alfred Miranda Jr., Oshrie Jhames Constantino Reyes, Mark Jhon Baliwang, Cyrus James Damiray, Ariel Santander, Franchesca Largo, Julia Alicante,  Juncin Estrella, Austin Klhoe Roan, Christian Peter Aristorenas, Ivan Travis and Jericho Winston Cu and youngest participant 3 years old Jamil L. Mahawan
