Known tattoo artist Daenee “Chukchuk” finds herself loving showbusiness, even as she plays a minor role in ABS-CBN’s hit teleserye “A Love to Last” starring Ian Veneracion and Bea Alonzo. Daenee has also appeared in Wildflower.
Daenee Maree M. Bartolome has tattooed 1,270 clients, but remains to be one of the very few tattoo artists who has no tattoo herself. She says it sets her apart from other tattoo artists. The female artist who likes drawing intricate designs since she was young is fast gaining popularity.
“Feeling ko nga para akong mang gagamot kasi laging may pumupunta sa bahay para magpa-tattoo (I feel like a faith healer because people keep coming to my house to get a tattoo),” says Daenee, who started with Henna tattoo.
The 21-year-old breadwinner is thankful for earning much-needed extra income from tattooing, at the same time, doing what she loves the most – drawing.
“Hilig ko na talaga simula bata pa ako. Dito ako masaya (I have always liked it since I was a child. I am happy doing it),” shares the freelance tattoo artist whose art has taken her to Sta. Rosa, Pacita, San Pedro, Balibago, Alabang, Puerto Princesa, Puerto Galera, and Subic, among many others. She has had clients from all around the world – Korean, German, American, etcetera, but many are still Filipinos.
Aside from her excellent drawing skills, Daenee is loved by her clients because he is friendly, kind, trustworthy, understanding, and able to work in any kind of situation.
