Before combining their talents to launch Onia in 2009, co-founders Carl Cunow and Nathan Romano independently forged successful careers in the fashion industry. 

Cunow’s background as a Steven Alan executive gave him a meticulous eye for detail and a knowledge of superior construction. Working with factories in places such as Peru, India and China, Cunow developed lasting relationships with manufacturers and honed in on the creative design and production side of the business.

Romano’s experience as the director of sales for a leading fashion licensing firm helped him solidify strong relationships domestically and abroad. His extensive experience working in all facets of the business—from launching sales and marketing initiatives to web development and company branding—thoroughly prepared him as an entrepreneur.

Onia was built around innovative fits and styles that appeal to the guy who is inspired by the importance of quality and attention to detail. Onia’s sharp and technical garments build upon the brand’s core philosophy—to develop clean silhouettes crafted from the finest materials available.
