The province of Leyte joined the nation as it commemorated on June 12 its 120th year of liberation from Spain, honoring our Filipino forefathers’ bravery and sacrifices.

Leyte First District Representative Yedda Romualdez emphasized that Filipinos today can live in freedom because of those who sacrificed their lives. She called on the people to re-commit “to the common task of nation-building.”

Makati Mayor Abby Binay has announced the winner of the search for Miss Makati 2018—Karla O’Hara of Barangay Pio del Pilar—who bested 15 other candidates during the coronation ceremony held Saturday evening at the Circuit Makati Event Grounds in Makati.

Tacloban City Mayor Cristina G. Romualdez distributed some 1.3 million pesos worth of financial assistance to 63 schools as part of the Brigada Eskwela assistance of the City Government. Each school, received  50,000 pesos from the Special Education fund of the local government to help defray the cost of maintenance and repair incurred during the school maintenance week.
