Rising star Sofia Gonzales Romualdez, daughter of former actress and now Mayor of Tacloban City Cristina  Romualdez and Alfred Romualdez, stunned 3,000 people with her performance at the annual Sangyaw Festival.

The 19-year-old Viva Records recording artist wowed the audience at the Sangyawan Music Festival with her original songs and dashing dancing moves.

Young people from the audience swooned as she sang her debut single “Pikit Mata,” which she wrote herself and was included in the movie “FanGirl FanBoy” starring Julian Trono and Ella Cruz.

“I am blessed  to have a wonderful and supportive family. Thank you to my dancing team and my fans,” said an obviously giddy Sofia after her performance.

Rap artist Denial and DeadKey did the front act of the event. The Waray rap artist sang a Waray rap from their hit album.
