LAS VEGAS - Filipino music teacher Lamar Victor Alviar, 22, who was born and raised in Canada, was allegedly framed up by an obsessed fan for sexual misconduct.

Alviar has been released from the custody of the Coquitlam RCMP for lack of proof against allegations that he has had “inappropriate contact with young people around Metro Vancouver.”

Alviar owns and teaches at LA Music Studio, a private music academy in North Van’s Central Lonsdale neighborhood. He is a multi-instrumentalist who has been teaching music since age 16. He travels to and performs in the Philippines, Singapore and Japan.

“Lamar is a soft spoken guy and he is respectful to all women, he is very hardworking,” said one of his friends at the studio.

His father Rocky was also born and raised in Canada and his mother is a French-Singaporean.

“Lamar has the gift of music that he is willing to share with everyone. He teaches for free those who cannot afford music lessons. I ask for prayers and support to all who know us and my son,” said Rocky.
