The Philippines’ youngest Woman Fide Master (WFM) 45th seed Antonella Berthe “Tonelle” Murillo Racasa (elo1380) drew with 15th seed Kate Yuhua Jing (elo1671) of Canada Monday to slip to joint 12th spot after six rounds of the World Cadet Chess Championships being held at the Yujing Hotel in Weifang, Shandong, China.

The 12-year-old student of Home School Global bet Racasa now has 4.0 points, 1.5 points behind 8th seed solo leader Woman Candidate Master Alua Nurmanova (elo 1850) of Kazakhstan who downed 9th seed Olga Dm. Karmanova (elo 1838) of Russia for 5.5 points.

"Antonella Berthe was able to neutralize every attack her opponent threw on her and salvaged a draw against Kate Yuhua Jiang of Canada in round six of the World Cadets. Her opponent is rated 291 Elo points higher than Tonelle." said father/coach Roberto Racasa, also an International Memory champion, dubbed as the founder and father of Memory Sports in the Philippines.

Her China trip is sponsored by Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. chair and CEO Andrea Domingo, D. Edgard Cabangon of ALC Group of companies, Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos and Councilor Charisse Abalos.
