THE exciting Coffeekoy Pichakai executive chess tournament gets underway on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Coffeekoy Pichakai coffee shop, Village East Executive Homes in Cainta, Rizal (infront of SM Hypermart near Junction). Tournament registration start at eight am onwards on Sunday.
The one day event which is supervised by National Arbiter Alexander "Alex" Dinoy of the Chess Arbiter Union of the Philippines (CAUP) and organized by Mr. Bong Buto is open to all executive players in the country.
Part of the screening committee are Philippine Executive Chess Association (PECA) founding president Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe, seven-times Philippine Executive Champion Dr. Jenny Mayor and Dr. Alfred Paez.
Orbe is also the Vice President of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) under the leadership of it's chairman/president Prospero "Butch" Pichay Jr.
Qualified to join are professionals with PRC IDs, businessmen, entrepreneur, military officers, government employees and OFWs. Chess Master executive players can join with an aged of 55-years-old and above in the event back up by Macel Ventura, Nikki Ventura, Coffeekoy Pichakai, Big Smile Bread Station, Superb Laundry Koykhai's Shoppe Collections, Koykhai's FAM, Blessed Triple RJ Trading top honcho Richard Quinto, SM Development Corporation Sales Director Samivin V. Delos Santos, Mayor Dental Clinic, Engineer Kandi Macalangcong, Nasif Malawani of AMANA partylist, Executive Vice President Snooky Malicdem of Cainta Rizal Institute of Technology Inc. and Singapore-based 1996 Philippine Junior Champion NM Roberto Suelo Jr.
According to Tournament organizer Mr. Bong Buto (mobile number: 0919-658-3820) it also served as warm up tournament for the executive players in the country who is schedule to compete in the forthcoming 2018 Alphaland National Executive Chess Championships on January 27, 2018 at the Activity hall, second floor, Alphaland Makati Place, Ayala Avenue, Corner Malugay Street, Makati City.
The Coffeekoy Pichakai executive chess tournament aims to promote camaraderie among executive players and to help the funding of local and international chess tournament of Philippine chess wizard Al-Basher "Basty" Buto who will celebrating his eight years old birthday on Tuesday.-Marlon Bernardino-
