Panalo din sina Grandmaster Darwin Laylo, International Master Michael Concio Jr., Jersey Marticio at Ma. Elayza Villa paa matulungan ang Filipinos sa pagtatapos ng No. 2 na may 16 match points, kaparehas ng iskor ding naitala ng top notcher Indonesia na pinayuko ang Chinese-Taipei, 5-1.
Nakamit ng Indonesia ang top spot sa paglikom ng 40.5 tie break points kontra sa runner-up place PH chess team na nag marka ng 39.5 points.
Pinasuko ni Laylo si Grandmaster Bin-Sattar Reefat matapos ang 29 moves ng Catalan Opening, winasiwas ni Concio si International Master Rahman Mohammad Fahad matapos ang 66 moves ng Queens Indian defense, binasura ni Marticio si Woman Fide Master Anjum Noshin matapos ang 30 moves ng Scotch Opening at panalo si Villa kontra kay Woman International Master Sharmin Shirin Sultana matapos ang 73 moves ng Queens Gambit Declined.
Nakatabla naman si Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman kontra kay International Master Paulo Bersamina matapos ang 30 moves ng Kings Indian defense para makaiwas ang Bangladesh sa posibleng pagkabokya.
Ang top three finishers ay aabante sa four-pool Top Division kung saan ang top two ay patungo sa two-set quarterfinals.
