MANILA, Philippines---Tumapos ang pambato ng Imus City, Cavite ng second place sa boys 10 and under the division ng 2021 Hybrid National Age Group Chess Championship Grandfinals nitong Hunyo 26-29, 2021 na ginanap sa Tornelo platform.

Tumapos ang Nine-year-old na si Christian F. Tolosa ng 8 points sa 12 rounds ng standard chess (one hour and 30 minutes time control) para mag second sa torneong ito an tampok ang mga kabataang woodpushers ng bansa.

Kabilang sa mga dinaig ni Tolosa ay sina Oshrie Jhames “OJ” Constantino Reyes sa first round, John Kurt Valencia sa fourth round, Miel Harson Pabalinas sa fifth round, Aldrin Bernardo sa sixth round, Rafiel Irvin Lacorte sa seventh round, Sebastian Marbas sa ninth round, Joash Alton Gumiran sa tenth round at Jaden Cedric Abesamis sa eleventh at final round.

Natalo siya kina Jan Calvin Abesamis sa second round, Phil Martin Casiguran sa third round at  Ronell Jose Co sa eight round.
Ito ang ika-2 sunod na panalo ni Tolosa na Grade 3 pupil ng Buhay na Tubig Elementary School sa Imus City, Cavite.

Si Tolosa nasa ilalim ng pangangasiwa nina Imus City mayor Manny Maliksi, City of Imus Sports Development Unit at ni Coach Ed Figuerres ay nag 7th overall finish sa 2021 Hybrid National Youth and Schools Chess championships Grandfinals nitong Hunyo 14-17, 2021.

Dahil sa panibagong tagumpay ay nakamit ni Tolosa ang Candidate National Master (CNM) title sa event na inorganisa ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines sa pakikipgtulungan ng Philippine Sports Commission at ng Philippine Olympic Committee.-Marlon Bernardino-
