MANILA, Philippines---Muling nagbigay ng karangalan sa bansa si Filipino United States chess master (USM) Vincent Umayan matapos mag 2nd overall sa 2021 Chicago Open Blitz Chess championship (3 minutes plus 2 seconds delay over the board) na ginanap sa Westin Chicago North Shore sa Chicago, USA nitong Linggo, Mayo 30, 2021.

Giniba ng Davao City native Umayan si American Caleb Sean Denby sa last round tungo sa 7.5 points mula sa account na 7 wins, 1 draw at 2 loses sa 10 games of play na ipinatupad ang 3 minutes plus 2 seconds delay time control format, over the board chess tournament na inorganisa ng Continental Chess Association (CCA).
