MANILA---Tinalo ni PH Chess wunderkind Al Basher Jumangit Buto ang mas may experyensiya na katunggali para magkampeon sa Bawah 12 Tahun Putrajaya (Under 12 category, Malaysia virtual chess tournament) 2021 chess online tournament nitong Sabado, Aril 10, 2021.

Ping Lacson at ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region sa Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) ay nakalikom ng tenth victories out of the possible eleven kasama ang impressive final-round triumph kontra kay Muthupyr ng Chenai, India matapos ang 62 moves ng Scotch Opening para maghari sa 10 minutes rapid time control format na nilahukan ng 1,997 young chess players worldwide na inorganisa ng Kejohanan Catur Atas Talian Piala Timbalan Menteri Wilayah of Malaysia.
Panibagong tagumpay ng veteran age group internationalist, isang Asean Master na hinuhulma na susunod sa yapak ni Wesley So.

Naikamada niya nag iisang tabla sa eight round sa kamay ni Quinsha Adinda Syahirah ng Indonesia.
"Our sacrifices have paid off… I would like to thank my personal mentor International Master Chito Garma and American chess coach Dave Fenton," sabi ni Al-Basher na kilala sa tawag na "Basty" sa chess world.

“Once again our flag has been raised in this foreign land after knowing that our Filipino kababayan Al-Basher "Basty" Buto got another magnificent performance,” sabi ni Rep. Pichay.
"This proved once again that Filipinos can be at par with the world's best chess athletes. With ample training and preparation we can even become world champions," sambit naman ni 1996 Philippine Junior Champion Arena Grandmaster Robert Suelo Jr., secretary-general ng Bayanihan Chess Club, isa sa first chess coach at trainer ni Super Grandmaster Wesley So, ang reigning World Fischer Random Champion.
Bida din ang nakatatandang kapatid na si Rohanisah Buto, na nag 2nd sa Under 17 category, 509 participants na may 8 out of 9.
Habang ang nakatatanda ding kapatid na si Alysah Buto (7/9) ay 21st place out-of-509 players sa Under 17 category at ang nakatatanda ding kapatid na si Abdul Buto (7/9) ay 49th place out-of-634 players sa Under 15 category.
Ating magugunita nitong Marso 16, ang Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) ay nagpasa ng Resolution No. 356 commending Al-Basher sa kanyang outstanding feats sa national at international chess championships, at makatangap ng suporta sa hinaharap sa Session No. 55 sa Bangsamoro Government Center sa Cotabato City.
Ang resolution ay ipinakilala ng mga principal authors miyembro ng Parliament Atty. Rasol Mitmug, Jr., Atty. Laisa Alamia, Suharto Ambolodto, Engr. Baintan Adil-Ampatuan, Amilbahar Mawallil, Rasul Ismael, at Engr. Don Mustapha Loong.
“One of the goals of the Bangsamoro Sports Commission [BSC] is to actually develop young athletes in the Bangsamoro,” ani Atty. Mitmug.
