Rising boxing superstar Carl Jammes Martin posted a sensational win after knocking out Joe Tejones in the fifth round of their bout in Binan City, Laguna.

Supported by Globe, Martin made a successful debut in the super bantamweight division after hitting Tejones with a right hook to the body that sent his veteran opponent to the canvas. Tejones was not able to beat the count in the match that served as a curtain-raiser of the all-Filipino title bout between Vic Saludar and Robert Panadero for the World Boxing Association’s minimum weight crown.

The win, however, was not easy for the fighter from Ifugao as the wily Tejones kept Martin on his feet during the first four rounds of the fight.

The Valencia, Bukidnon pug tested Martin’s defense and footwork as he unloaded several shots against Martin to keep him at bay.  Despite getting frustrated, Martin kept his cool and patiently waited for the right moment to unload his killer punch.

Dubbed as “Wonder Boy”, Martin improved his unblemished record to 17 wins, with 15 knockouts.

Globe has been supporting Martin in his last two fights as the company believes in his potential and pursuit of a world title in the next few years.

Aside from being dubbed as the next Filipino boxing superstar, Martin is also a social media sensation with his fights garnering millions of views on YouTube and enjoys a growing fanbase. PR
