Manny Pacquiao is reportedly flying to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to make a deal for a fight in that country on April 23 against an opponent still to be determined. Pacquiao was supposed to be fighting unbeaten Jeff Horn in Brisbane, Australia, but that fight may not happen.

It will be up to Pacquiao. His promoter Bob Arum is taking a low profile right now, so it’s unclear whether he’s still looking to make the fight against Horn or not. Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz revealed the news a week ago the possibility of his next fight taking place in the UAE rather than in Brisbane.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum might want to think hard before he matches his No.1 money fighter Manny Pacquiao against the unbeaten Jeff Horn on April 23, because there’s a very good chance that he’ll lose that fight to the 28-year-old Australian. Horn (16-0-1, 11 KOs) is very confident that he’s got the power, skills and boxing ability to give the Filipino star loss No.7.

Pacquiao was matched well by Arum in his last two fights against Tim Bradley and Jessie Vargas. Neither of those two fighters had any punching power to speak of, so it was an easy win for Pacquiao.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum might have a live one in unbeaten Jeff Born (16-0-1, 11 KOs) as the next opponent for his top money fighter Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KOs) for their math-up on April 23. I’m sure Arum doesn’t want Pacquiao to lose so soon after him making his comeback against Jessie Vargas, but things happen.

Horn, 28, seems to think he’s got the ability to beat the 38-year-old Pacquiao. That would obviously be terrible news for Arum if Pacquiao loses to Horn in a small money fight before he can face unbeaten Terence Crawford or Vasyl Lomachenko, two fighters that he’s talked about wanting to match against him.

WBA Super World featherweight champion Carl Frampton (23-0, 14 KOs) was on target with his weight on Friday in coming in at 125 pounds for his rematch against #2 WBA Leo Santa Cruz (32-1-1, 18 KOs) this Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Santa Cruz also weighed in at 125lbs.

They looked on friendly terms during the face off with each other after weighing in. There were no attempts at intimidation by either guy.

Light welterweight contender Adrien Broner sees middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) as a vulnerable fighter, who would have lost to welterweight Kell Brook (36-1, 25 Kos) last September if he’d been a 160lb fighter rather than just a 147 pounder.

Broner says Golovkin will lose to Mexican star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs) by a knockout when the two of them face each other in the near future. Since it’s still not known if Canelo will ever agree to fight Golovkin, it doesn’t matter what Broner’s opinion is on the subject of him and Canelo. At the rate that Canelo is going, we may not ever see him fight Golovkin.

A new boxing sensation has arrived on the scene.

Gervonta Davis is ready to take the next step and become the future of the sport. It began with him capturing the IBF super-featherweight title with a dominant seventh round knockout of champion Juan Pedraza at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn.

The oddmakers made Davis a prohibitive underdog in the fight because of his inexperience inside the ring. The youngster showed the poise needed to become a champion, and convinced the skeptics that he’s here to stay. The reality of him winning a title in his 17th pro fight at the ripe old age of 22 years old is quite astounding.

Pacquiao also doesn't think McGregor would have a chance against Floyd Mayweather.

While the back-and-forth between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor may never end, it appears there’s another high-profile boxer who is willing to step into the ring with the Irish UFC champion should the opportunity arise. Per a report from Edward Chaykovsky of Boxing Scene, Manny Pacquiao said he would be open to boxing Conor McGregor, “but not in [UFC].”
