Denied a tournament sweep on Tuesday, Petron would not be this time around.

The Blaze Spikers continued its mastery over its fierce rival F2 Logistics with a 25-22, 25-24, 25-23 win in the winner-take-all Game 3 of the 2018 Chooks-to-Go Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference Thursday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Aiza Maizo-Pontillas scored 13 points on 12 attacks while Bernadeth Pons fired 11 as Petron successfully defended its AFC title for the franchise’s fourth PSL crown.

Ces Molina also contributed for Petron with nine markers and 22 digs, even as Mika Reyes also chipped in nine. Setter Rhea Dimaculangan set up 31 excellent sets.

It was a tight ballgame all throughout, but the Blaze Spikers fought every F2 rally before a Mich Morente touch error sealed the doom for the Cargo Movers.

Petron dominated in the attacks department, 45-29, despite committing 26 miscues. It also fired five service aces and five kill blocks.

Cha Cruz-Behag and Ara Galang paced F2, now losers of three of its five meetings with Petron, with 10 points apiece, with Dawn Macandili issuing 25 excellent digs.

Petron won Game 1, 23-25, 11-25, 17-25 but F2 bounced back in Game 2 with a 21-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-17 success
