Oscar De La Hoya is venturing into MMA promotion, with his first show set for Saturday, November 24th at The Forum in Inglewood, California. The main event is the trilogy bout between MMA legends and longtime UFC rivals Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz, both of whom will get career paydays if we’re to believe De La Hoya. It was only a few months ago that Oscar himself said that MMA fighter pay structure “gets me sick to my stomach.”

Many UFC fans have been missing the Diaz brothers. Nick and Nate are polarizing figures in the game, and have both carved out large fanbases for their fighting styles and their talk in and out of the cage. But Nate hasn’t fought since a loss to Conor McGregor back in 2016. Nick hasn’t fought since January of 2015.

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson explains in one tweet why he’d be too much for Conor McGregor, whether it’s in the cage or in the boxing ring.

UFC 229 will be best remembered for Khabib Nurmagomedov’s neck crank win over Conor McGregor, followed by the subsequent brawl that leaves both men subject to the Nevada Athletic Commission punishing them in December. Somewhat lost in the shuffle was the thrilling co-main event between Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis, which saw Ferguson rally from an early knockdown in round 2 to eventually overwhelm Pettis and get the TKO win after Duke Roufus opted to not let Pettis continue with his broken hand.

In attendance was reigning ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera of the Philippines, as well as his opponent Mauro “The Hammer” Cerilli of Italy.
