it seems that Georges St-Pierre might be looking for a fight with the biggest draw in the UFC if he can take out Michael Bisping at UFC 217.

Georges St-Pierre will be making his long-awaited return to the Octagon at UFC 217 in November when he meets Michael Bisping for the UFC middleweight title. It will be GSP’s first fight at 185 pounds, but with Tyron Woodley ruling the 170-pound division and generating very little fan interest, GSP asked for and received the more lucrative opponent in Bisping.

The UFC Japan main event saw Ovince Saint Preux once again win by Von Flue choke, as he quickly submitted late-notice replacement Yushin Okami.

Headlining UFC Japan was a makeshift light heavyweight bout between Ovince Saint Preux and Yushin Okami. The original plan was for OSP to rematch Mauricio Rua, but the former middleweight title contender Okami stepped up on short notice when Shogun pulled out with injury. Yushin had recently been competing at welterweight, so it was always going to be a tall task to get the upset win, and he wound up being the latest victim of the “Von Flue choke.”
