Anthony Johnson and Glover Teixeira were part of the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference earlier today (Aug., 17, 2016) to promote their upcoming fight on Aug., 20, in Las Vegas, Nevada. You know, before it was cut short because of this near-riot.

And, as expected, the two men couldn't dodge questions surrounding the the Jon Jones’ drama and the possibility of fighting him sooner than later. For "Rumble" -- while it’s a fight he wouldn’t mind having -- the bottom line is Daniel Cormier is the real Light Heavyweight champion.

"Yeah, I want it," he said. "If it happens, it happens, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. But, I’m not going to hold my breath and wait to find out," he said.

"Hopefully I get Daniel," he continued. "Jon has to worry about other people other than worrying about me or me worrying about him. So I’m not really focused on Jon. Hell, before I get to Daniel I have to get passed through this beast that’s to my left over here. That’s a Brazilian killing machine right here, Glover. I’m focused on that and not really worried about neither one of those guys," declared Johnson.

For Teixeira, all he’s focused on is taking out "Rumble" en route to a title shot against "DC," while Jones and his problems are the last thing on his mind.

"Daniel Cormier is the champion now. That’s why I ask to fight with Anthony Johnson, first," said the Brazilian.

"He’s the No. 1 contender and I have to beat him so I can fight for the title. And after this fight, yeah, we’re fighting for the title. Daniel Cormier already saying. I didn’t hear from him (Dana White), but I heard Daniel already say that winner of this fight fights for the title. I don’t know what’s going on with Jon Jones and I don’t really care, either."

Still, after hearing those answers, a brave reporter went on to ask Johnson another question about a potential rematch against Cormier. And he was not very pleased.

"Hopefully when I hit him this time, he will stay down and he doesn’t get up like last time. Just make sure my wrestling and my grappling are on point and push myself to get better. And hopefully that time comes," he answered. "Ya’ll stop talking about Daniel and Jon, I gotta’ fight Glover, I am tired of hearing that name."
