Check out the fight card lined up for UFC on FOX 30 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on Saturday, July 28th.
When the UFC first held an event in Calgary, Alberta, it was regarded as one of the worst pay-per-views in company history. The fans were chanting “Refund!” as Renan Barao beat Urijah Faber to cap off a truly lackluster main card, and Dana White promised a better show the next time the Octagon appeared in the city.
Well it took six years to come back to Calgary, but it’s happening. Saturday, July 28th features a highly anticipated lightweight rematch between Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier as the UFC on FOX 30 main event. The co-main sees former featherweight champion Jose Aldo take on Jeremy Stephens, in what is Aldo’s first three-round bout since almost a decade. Ex-strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk is also in a three-rounder, as she’s set to battle Tecia Torres.
